Task Manager Startup tab
The startup tab provides a list of programs that are activated at computer startup. There is an option for disabling or enabling. There are also additional information fields. This is now the preferred way for actioning startup programs. Prior to Windows 10 the System Configuration applet (msconfig) was used but now redirects as shown below.

Looking at the contents of the tab we can see it covers only programs that can be activated at startup of your device. All can be disabled but it some cases it is more convenient to leave them enabled. There are also more option than shown in the default to help you better understand the apps location and where its startup file is located.

Can be Enabled or disabled and is settable either from the drop down box or a button in the bottom right hand corner
Start-up impact
Overall impact on system resources - High, Medium, Low or None for Disabled.
Start-up type
Showing if the startup is from a registry entry or if blank from a separate program.
Disk I/O at start-up
Shows amount of disk usage at start-up in Mb's.
CPU at start-up
Shows the amount of Central Processing Unit time taken at start-up in milliseconds (ms)
Running now
Shows if the app is currently running
Disabled Time
Shows the date and time the app was disabled from start-up
Command line
Shows the location of the program accessed by the start-up
Drop Down Options
Enable
Shows Enable for Disabled app and Disable for Enabled apps. The button in the bottom right has the same function.
Open file location
Goes to app location in the file manager
Search Online
Goes to the web via your default browser and opens a search in your default search engine.
Properties
Open the standard properties applet so you can explore and adjust has required.
