Browser Clean Up

All browsers download and upload data. They also record your activates in caches. Cookies are downloaded and saved on your local device to send home data about your browsing habits for a particular site. Privacy mode does offer some relief but does not stop all downloads/uploads.

As much of this data is designed to enhance your browsing experience from one session to another it is not deleted when you exit.  Over time this data can become large and most is not needed on an ongoing basis. There is also privacy considerations about sites having access to data and files stored on your PC that allow them to gather information on your browsing habits.

There are browsers that provide a more secure experience than the main ones but the purpose of this page is to show how to clean-up for Edge, Chrome and Firefox.
